I think it's pretty clear that RotJ/post Byss Palpatine wins.
I understand the case for Valk over RotS Sidious but I'd still take him.
TPM I still think Sidious edges it out, especially post-Plagueis death.

Their feats are in different contexts so it's hard to compare them side by side, but if Valkorion could pull off that ritual why didn't he? Plagueis didn't have the resources to replicate a Nathema or whatever.

I'd say publishers blurbs aren't infallible but count when it's unclear otherwise, so Plagueis > Vitiate. Vs. Valkorion is unclear.

1: ...Because Vitiate didn't want to simply unbalance the force, lmfao. His plan was to consume the galaxy and quite literally become God. And in fiction, "he didn't therefore he couldn't" is incredibly shaky at best. Hell, it's this very logic that sort of shits on Plagueis, (hence Ant's arguments of Revan >/= Plagueis).

2: You say the blurb isn't infallible, and that it, "counts," then proceed to use it as the sole component of your analysis of the two. Why do feats stop mattering here?

If you can present a case for Valk or Vitiate on feats, go ahead.

I'm just trying to probe how you view things as you do, because it seems to shift from thread to thread/character to character.

It's a combination, if feats are inconclusive the blurb tips the scales.
