I believe that the Institute isn't necessarily good or bad. They aren't necessarily zealots or fascists like the Brotherhood or Enclave but they're not good Samaritans like the Minutemen or Railroad. They do seem to care about knowledge and humanity but don't care much about collateral damage or lives lost as long as the future goal is achieved. Sure, the Institute replaces people and that isn't humane but they believe knowledge is number one. And if you go the Institute, their NPCs aren't assholes like the Brotherhood NPCs. And if you say the Brotherhood is actually good, suck on this: the Brotherhood is a military, they came to start a war. They justify everything as for the greater good of humanity but what good is the mistrust of the people? The Institute is a scientific group. They haven't declared war on anyone, they simply wish to be isolationist. Messing with them won't do you any good. And the only people in the Institute that have any say in the surface's affairs are the SRB and everyone is scared of the SRB even regular Institute scientists. The Institute was actually willing to help the Commonwealth in the beginning but the citizens decided to be assholes and push them away. No wonder why they are so salty. And the CPG was formed by the Institute. Except the delegates killed each other. So in conclusion, the Institute is good for humanity but they really need to get their morals right and stop being so cold. What are you guys' thoughts?
