Darth Truculent
I can't be certain, but is a new Force user being introduced into SW mythos? He's the blind guy with the Force pike. Anyone know?

darthbane77
I think he's a Force user, but I don't think he's a Jedi.

ares834
He's not a Jedi but is still a follower of the Force.

Yea..That's IP Man. He time traveled from Hong Kong to the ancient Star Wars universe to teach wing chung.

laughing out loud

Yeah he just believes in the Force. He can't wield it, though due to the fact that he believes in it so strongly could be a result of having a slightly higher than average midi-chlorian count, like around 3,000 (Average being: 2,500)

Cringe.

Lol midi-chlorians are just the costume for a much larger indefinable energy field.

Looked like a decent trailer. Vader is still a ****** though.

Vader is more iconic than Khan ever will be.

DarthDuelist9
Probably not a Jedi but a Force sensitive who because of his blindness has developed his Force enhanced traits (e.g. speed) to the point he can seemingly evade blasterfire.

MS Warehouse
It's an ok trailer for what will likely be a mediocre movie. Having IP Man in there makes all the difference.

There were other Force User organizations that saw The Force as something else entirely in Legends, this isn't anything new.

Makes sense to me. I don't think the worship the Force in the same way people worship God but rather follow it and let them guide it so more along the lines of Buddhism rather than Christianity. Plus the Force has been referred to as a religion all the way back in ANH.

playa1258
IP man looks great so far.

UCanShootMyNova
Anybody else think Vader looks like a midget in the trailer?

The Stormtroopers of the empire are going to get raped and continue to back my claims they are incompetent and weak as ****. Long live the First Order.

I don't recall seeing the First Order Troopers pull off any great levels of competence in the movie....

I don't recall any of that being mentioned in the Star Wars novels when I read them back in the day, but I willl admit it has been a very long time since I read them. SO I until I re-read and larn diff I am going to go that is is just part of the FanFic Fanerization silliness that popped up with around the time of the prequels.

The Force is called a religion literally three times in A New Hope.

Empie took down a cruiser and blew up a planet in the first Movie so sounds about even.

I recall Han calling it a hokey religion but I didn't get the FanBoy Wank that the new series put up around it.

5 times the planets. I am amazing.

Yep They did blow up 5 planets, but they did it in a really stupid way. Especailly when compated o ANH

Yea, the first order is awesome. They appear to be an even bigger death star and even easier to destroy.

Quan, you bring up the Storms to try and compare them, but then bring up the SK base and DS that have nothing to do with the Storms at all. Not sure what logic you're using there.

I didn't bring up the bases. Follow along the quotes. He brought up the Death Star so by his logic I brought up their giant base. Next time follow along with the quotes, rookie.

Agreed. Sure it can wipe out multiple planets in a system, but that's not going to even be that useful most of the time. The big advantage it has it can target planets across the galaxy and doesn't have to travel there. But this is offset somewhat by it's long ass charging time.

And yes, it certainly seemed even easier to destroy. Even the still unfinished DSII was more difficult to destroy.

Eh, not really. I mean, it could only be destroyed by disabling the shields, and the only way to do that was literally landing on the planet at lightspeed, which is impossible for anyone without the name Solo.

The only way to destroy the DSII involved deactivating the shields which also required shitty writing to pull off. After that, a pilot had to fly into the DS all the way to the main reactor to blow the damn thing up. And to pull this off the Rebels had a massive fleet rather than just a handful of X-Wing fighters.

quanchi112
Ares seems to think the smaller less powerful Death Star is greater than Starkiller. Obvious trolling is obvious.

Well you're the one who continued to bring up the comparisons, instead of pointing out the fact that neither base had Storms involved. When you, yourself were bringing up the Storms.

But Fly isn't right either, the Storms didn't blow up planets, the SK and DS did.

Quan gets butthurt when you mention anything tfa related so he'll argue this to the death, facts and logic be damned.

How did this go from the effective ness of the Ground Troops being mixed up with Planet Destroying Laser Machines?

Other then Quan being involved in the conversation that is....

So the system where the original DS was built, was that the planet Desparye as seen in the novel 'Death Star'?

You said Fly and I quote, that. The Storms didn't blow up the planet, the Death Star did. They didn't really take down the cruiser either, the ISD was the one that disabled the cruiser, they just boarded it and ran over the Rebel force aboard, so they captured it really.
