Sometimes you seem a film that strikes a particular emotional chord that forces you to recall a moment in your life or just a heartwarming scene. Whether it was the death of a character, breakup of a relationship, or overcoming some arduous struggle what moments of a film made your tears flow freely? Do the emotional moments cause you to avoid the film, or is the film just so moving you cry everytime you see it?

I assume you mean Mufasa. Because that's the closest I've ever gotten to being that moved by a movie.

Marley and Me.
For some reason, in films, a dog dying always gets to me whereas a person dying rarely does. Heck, I almost teared up in I am Legend when Will Smith killed his dog.

Outright cry? Not sure. But the opening scene of Up (2009) and the ending scene of The World According to Garp (1982) pull on the feels pretty hard.

There are probably too many films for Rob to list so he will have to get back to us on this one.

"The Transformers The Movie" When Optimus Prime is surrounded by all the other Autobots, passes on the Matrix, turns gray and dies. Then Daniel starts crying.

I am sure I have cried during movies at some point when I was younger but, for the life of me, I can't recall a single specific instance.

That scene does pull on the feels, one of Smith's better films.

I feel like I'm kind of a dick now because I haven't cried from a movie since I was young. Even when I was young I could watch all sorts of things and the one thing that got me as a kid was "The Fox and the Hound". I watched it as an adult and sure I felt sad but no tears.

You truly cry whenever there is a rape scene in something?
Flyattractor

Only if its well done.
Surtur
True, when a rape scene is well done..it's well done. Can't argue with the technical details. I've always thought Stanley Kubrick would of been great at rape scenes.
CosmicComet
Braveheart always seemed to get me.
Mostly due to happy tears during the bad ass Bagpipe montages.

When Jack finally saw his grand daughter and gave her a kiss , he was finally able to cross off 'Kissing the Most Beautiful Girl in the World'. I didnt just cry, I crawled into the fetal position and broke down. Movie was so sad, i'll never watch it again.

Watched "Legends of The Fall" for the first time since the 90s today.

Thinking about it, while it did not actually make me cry, I found Hachi: A Dog's Tale super sad when the dog kept waiting for an owner that was never coming again.
