Where does she stop

chingchangwalla
Mace is above Anakin.

DarthAnt66
Is that why Windu muses Skywalker might be more powerful than Yoda? erm

darthbane77
Atris can't beat anybody here.

Eh while true at this point Mace should be above Skywalker due to technical refinement.

But Ant is still right

He's probably talking in the context of sabers, not power.

NewGuy01
Yeah, literally nothing implies that. Not that it matters in the context of this thread--Ant would still be right.

Warmup: Darth Malgus - wins 0/10

He likely is referring to potential and that's innately implied given the disparity between Yoda and Anakin by this point.

DarthAnt66
No, he's not referring to potential, because he then states "and he is still getting stronger." erm

UCanShootMyNova
Well then unfortunately that makes Mace's statement flat out wrong considering Yoda disarmed Sidious while Anakin had trouble even perceiving him.

DarthAnt66
Also not true. The text made note that while Skywalker couldn't see Palpatine with his eyes, he could follow him through the Force, which is how powerful Force-sensitives fight anyway. Windu himself only saw Palpatine as a "blur" during the fight, but still managed to best him anyway, further rendering your point useless.

UCanShootMyNova
Seeing someone as a blur is a higher level of perception then perceiving someone to be moving in and out of existence. While I'm sure Anakin could react against a few strikes from Sidious similar to Fisto he'd be overwhelmed in short order.

Also Sidious allowed Mace to best him making your point invalid.

DarthAnt66
The text associates Skywalker's physical tracking of them also as a "blur of speed," too. erm

UCanShootMyNova
Before or after the text states them to be moving in and out of existence? The fight was ramping up continually until the point Sidious allowed himself to be disarmed which is why that's relevant.

UCanShootMyNova
Alright, going to the beach. Respond tomorrow or this evening.

DarthAnt66
After the "moving in and out of existence," but prior to the narrator's change to the perspective of Windu.

UCanShootMyNova
If it's Windu's perspective then it's not Anakin percieving them.

... erm

UCanShootMyNova
Ah.

Quote?

Petrus
Goes down at warm-up, of course.

DarthAnt66

UCanShootMyNova
Fair. Alright then that must mean you think Grievous is Sidious level in speed. smile

Grievous was able to break through Kenobi's defenses with the speed of his assault

Kenobi has a better defense then Anakin.

Therefore if Sidious couldn't break through Anakin's defenses with the speed of his assault Grievous should logically be faster then Sidious.

That the stance you're taking here?

DarthAnt66
Skywalker's an offensive fighter, not defensive. Your string of exaggerations and weakly-connected comparisons don't hold up to reality.

UCanShootMyNova
So you're telling me that Anakin would press such a powerful offensive advantage against Sidious the speed disparity between them wouldn't come into play? :/

Alright then, if that's what you want to believe.

I'll be at the beach. Enjoy your fantasies.

DarthAnt66
What speed disparity? A *strict* duel between the two would feature two of the greatest offensive warriors in Star Wars, and while Palpatine might come out on top, it wouldn't be easy.
