RotJ Luke doesn't seem to be that good outside of his fight with Vader, but that fight still happened, and from it I'll say Luke.

And neither was Luke. The difference being Vader's willingness to kill.

I don't think that's ever really confirmed. I always thought it was implied that he was fighting with himself as much as he fighting with Luke.
