Who was stronger.

Really? Im gonna rewatch it. Wasnt Ajax winning and beating DP due to being stronger or more physically formidable?

I think they were pretty even.

He did appear to be the better hth fighter though.

In the lab Ajax got the better of him on the bridge Deadpool got him and on the ship they were pretty even imo.

It's hard to say IMO. Ajax probably has the single most impressive strength feat of the two (bending that metal bar), but Wade has far more versatile strength feats, being in the movie a lot more.

Deadpool:
- Double-kicked a dead guy hard enough that he smashed into a car door with enough force to knock it off its hinges, and send it flying into a motorcycle, knocking that guy off as well. And all while in an awkward position, while still trying to deal with the other guys in the car.
- One-hand, underarm tossed Ajax a good 7-8 feet, and with enough force that he impacted the barrier he hit quite hard.
- Stabbed his sword through Ajax's chest and the concrete barrier behind him, pinning him.
- Casually lifted and held a large man in the air, after skewering him with swords.
- Headbutted Angel Dust and caused her visible pain, while being fine himself.
- Tossed his sword through the glass of that case Vanessa was in. And those cases were pretty durable, as the one she was in still took a massive drop (after Negasonic's explosion), and had a massive slab of concrete land on it, without taking further damage.
- Actually also pulling said tank over the ledge. During that scene, it gets stuck on the edge, with Wade hanging. But he uses his strength and body weight to yank it over the edge, and not simply so that it tips over, but actually goes flying 15-20 feet far, over Wade's head, as it falls.
- Wade also sent Ajax flying through the air with his one kick, and broke his arms fairly easily in the end, during their final fight.

Ajax:
- Casually held a guy in the air with one hand, while talking to him.
- Sent Wade flying with some of his hits during their fight when Wade escaped.
- Bent that metal bar after impaling Wade with it.
- Pulled a sword out of his chest and the concrete barrier behind it, after getting stabbed by Wade (See Above).
- Sent Wade flying multiple times during their final fight.

Overall, I'd say they were pretty close though. Enough that they could block/deflect/parry each others blows without either one simply smashing through the other one's guard.
