Tondemonai
Galactic Empire as of RoTJ.
Republic as of early RoTS
CIS as of the beginning of CW (Malevolence arc)

Rebels not involved
Republic and CIS are completely allied

Empire has controll of the galaxy, Republic and CIS share a duplicated galaxy just beyond the north eastern outer rim.

The Ellimist
The Empire curbstomps if we ignore the Jedi Order. Palpatine underwent the largest military buildup in galactic history, and the Empire expanded from 100,000 to a million star systems. It had advanced technologically to the point that most CW era ships had been phased out.

Tondemonai
I was considering the Jedi to be present and active

The Ellimist
Yeah, then they could conceivably wage a guerrilla war and assassinate Palpatine or something.

Tondemonai
There's no denying GE's naval superiority, but it' sheen stated that the Clones were better trained than the Stormtroopers, and the Jedi just add to that. Not to mention the larger variety in ground vehicles.

The Ellimist
There's a larger variety of ground vehicles, but if they were better the GE would still be using them.

The clones are better individually than stormtroopers, yeah, and there are an absurd number of battle droids, but I don't think that's enough to stop the imperial star fleet.

Beniboybling
Eh, the Empire's military buildup began with the Grand Army of Republic. Which was the largest Republic army ever, combined with the largest droid army in history that numbered in the quintillions, on top of two exorbitant navies, the GE will not stomp.

GE not question.
