The first broadcast episode, The Man Trap, was shown 50 years ago this minute!

I've been watching TNG anyway the past couple months (I used to watch casually, but probably only saw ~30% of the total episodes). I'm watching an episode tonight as my own little tribute.

Been watching all sorts of random episodes on Netflix.

Mainly Next Gen and DS9. BUt think it's time to go back to the Original series.

I am nearly as old as Star Trek.. I love the show. of course fave all time Trek series is TNG..

fave eps from original series include Space Seed, Requiem for Mathuselah, Mirror, Mirror,,,, and The City on the Edge of Forever.

One of the strangest episodes of the Original Series is when we first meet Christopher Pike. There is basically a trial of sorts and they show footage from the past and the footage is what the original pilot was supposed to be. It has Nimoy as Spock, etc. It's kind of surreal.

Yeah, that original pilot was rejected for being too intellectual and not action orientated enough.
