Even if Arcann was equally skilled, he isn't taking sabers. His ham-fisted approach is exactly what Obi-Wan excels against.

This. Obi-Wan can take 'sabers, but as soon as the Force comes into play, he's finished. If Maul and Doing can ragdoll Kenobi, so can Arcann.
