All these are circumstantial obviously and can probably be blamed on shitty writing, but it still happened and lapses like these show why he will never be Mace and Dooku tier.

Plus we know lots of characters can clash with Luke because he has a relatively non-aggressive style. When pressed or going all-out, he comes out on top.

He was thrashed in the Force. The duel was off-panel, so our only source to draw from is the audio drama where Luke was panting. Plus we have that quote which confirms it a legit duel.
