Sidious comes close to ragdolling.

Novel!Sidious spread his dark side influence across the entire galaxy, left Windu choking on ozone, sent Yoda packing and Vader couldn't touch him. Novel!Vitiate got put on his ass by Revan. Viti gets curbed.

Yeah, ngl I forgot about Vader literally being unable to touch Sidious with the Force.

Palpatine is the strongest non-entity Darksider.

The best argument imo would be, Valk>>Sidious(lmao) and that the gap between Novel Vitate and Valk isn't that large.

ROTS is overkill. I thought this would be the Plagueis novel as that would have been more interesting.

Definitely looks that way per the poll. But Sidious in Darth Plagueis really only has like, what? One fight scene in that entire book? Which is less a fight scene than it is the indiscriminate slaughter of Mooks and other fodder?

I thought Plagueis' feats could be used to gauge where Sidious stands. It's still lame but better than ROTS Sheev's auto-victory via quotes.

If this was supposed to be including the hype that comes out of these writers' flowery language, then barring specific quotes, I'm not sure who is portrayed as more powerful and epic.

Seeing as how he couldn't overpower Revan with uncharged lightning while on a dark side nexus, whereas Sidious could push Yoda's tutanimus to its limits on neutral territory, I think it's pretty damning. And there are plenty of quotes that suggest Yoda > any previous Jedi (which would include Revan).

Not even suggest, they outright state he is the greatest Jedi ever till that point in time.

Alternatively, there are quotes claiming Yoda was Sidious' equal in the Force.

There's more proclaiming Sidious as the more powerful one, especially in Canon.

True but even the novel alludes to the idea that Yoda could dance with him all day, he just wasn't capable of beating him. Stalemate in other words.

The novel has Sidious winning.

So if this is just Sidious up to RotS with all sources allowed, he stomps.

I thought this would be a more contentious match considering the parallels. And both Karpyshyn and Stover are known for wankery.

The difference being that Stover doesn't have to sacrifice continuity and characterization to do it
