Touchy subject, but I'm not sure giving every person in the US who can prove they had slave relatives a check would really solve anything. Unless someone has a reasonable argument for?

Statisics show that there's a correlation between growing up in improvised areas and a lack of education with crime. Considering black communities have the higest rate of poverty, maybe focusing there would be good.

Even though this is from Lulzbart and its intent is to be incite some kind of racist primal rage inside every white person, I agree that black people should get reparations. It's long overdue. Just directly giving people money has been shown that on average, they will do reasonable and good things with it.

I think the U.S should pay reparations but only if every other nation pays the same for all the slaves they had as well. Its all or nothing.

Couldn't this be resolved empirically? Figure out how much the racial gap can be attributed to systematic issues by comparing life outcomes when you adjust for factors within people's nature or control, and then compensate accordingly. Well, there would be enormous PR problems with that which wouldn't be worth it, I suppose.

Most african and european immigration to the US has happened afterwards meaning not all are descended from slaves or slave owners. Most slaves carried on working at plantations afterwards until ww2.

I guess white people in south africa owe reperations for black south africans too.
