What has Thaan and Kolir actually done worth of note? Horn has solid showings I guess, but that takes place literally years after the fight with Caedus, so a growth in skill is viable, if not, probable.

They literally have no feats. All of Valin's good showings come later on as you said, but before that, he was mainly revered for his talent with controlling beasts and animals. Kyle is obviously the best overall, with Kiadi being a tier below that. Don't think he can carry this team however.
