In this case, the MA gets his fists/body, the Gladiator gets sword.

Gladiator. Should probably take away their shield and armor tbh. That's a huge advantage against an unarmed opponent.

Fair enough, I figured giving the MA ability, it wouldn't have been too much an advantage.

I'm confused; is this a real life martial artists vs. a real life gladiator? Those are pretty broad labels; what martial art?
