How about make the starting distance 500 kilometers so Sidious can use his Force storms?

I don't think Sidious's storms would be able to break Bane's father's endurance given he was a miner for decades tbh.

Plus, in case of a Force Storm, Bane's dad could just dig a mine and protect himself.

Sidious buys him a drink and lets nature take its course.

What if Bane's father is in the hospital and this time it's Sidious instead of Bane trying to kill him through sheer force of will? Could he do it?
