Glenn, because canon.

Abe, because Kirkman didn't want Rick to have someone with the actual military experience on the team.

Negan starts beating Glenn to death and Abraham tries to stop it and gets a crossbow bolt through the back of his head like in the comics. That would be a very welcome and absolutely awesome surprise.
