Well what kind of top 10 list is this? Is this your top 10 movies from the horror genre? Or is it the 10 most scariest movies you have seen? Since your favorite horror movies might not necessarily be the scariest ones.

For instance pretty much all the Child's Play movies are more hilarious than scary.

Just name your fave scary movies

Pee Wee's big adventure isn't a horror movie, but that Large Marge bit scared me more than most actual horror shows.

John Murdoch
10) Cabin in the Woods
9) Let Me In
8) Dawn of the Dead (2004)
7) The Exorcist
6) Jacob's Ladder
5) Alien
4) The Fly
3) The Thing
2) The Silence of the Lambs
1) Se7en

Honorable Mentions:
- Moon
- Prometheus
- Manhunter

I know there's a lot of sci-fi/thriller on there, but the genres cross-over enough in the films I listed that I feel you can count them as horror movies, whereas movies like Dark City, Aliens, or The Matrix are heavily more sci-fi or action. To tell the truth, Manhunter may be too much thriller.
