Forget about how some of these movies/shows end. Just focus on the imminent threats seen at the beginning of these shows before CIS/PIS begins to take over.

With that said, which apocalyptic/extinction scenario would you choose? Which could you see yourself surviving, perhaps thriving for a while? If you had to choose, which scenario would you rather face that would give you an increased chance of survival, atleast for a while?

1. ID4 ships are hovering over major cities and will attack within a matter of hours.

2. The zombie plague has arrived and you must survive against Walkers and hostile humans in the Walking Dead.

3. The events in 2012 are on the verge of casting the world into a nightmarish hell.

4. Tripods from War of the Worlds begin emerging and targeting all humans.

5. The larger asteroid in Deep Impact will hit Earth and you were not lucky enough to be a lottery winner to recieve underground shelter.

6. Skynet has begun its war on humans. Terminators will soon be after you.

7. Any other movie scenario you may want to add.

I'd pick scenario 1, as the aliens are unlikely to give a f*** about where I live. I'd just wait patiently for Jeff Goldblum and Co. to come up with a solution.

Failing that, attack them from behind. big grin

Prob the Tripods scenario.
In all versions they didn't seem too bothered how long it took to destroy humanity.

all of em except Deep Impact scenario will be survivable for me because no crazy endgame shit ever happens in Canada

Walking Dead zombies were slow and pathetic. Still don't understand how people die to these

Flyattractor
I choose Godzilla and other Giant Kajius rising up to CRUSH US ALL as the Battle to be RULER OF EARTH!

This. A relatively small percentage of the human population have hunted some of the fiercest predators on the planet almost to extinction, yet get overwhelmed by zombies moving so slow you can literally outrun them? They can't climb trees or open locks, they have no significant size, speed or strength advantage - ffs, they're basically moving targets.

If OP chose 28 Weeks Later zombs or World War Z zombs, it would be a harder choice.

But Walking Dead Zombs? Weakest end if the world scenario ever.

The series has shown that dealing with the zombies has more or less become a "normal " way of daily life. The real threat has always been the evil desperate human element of survival. There's more anarchy that comes with the slow moving zombies whereas in 28 Weeks & WWZ the human survivors had to bond & organise themselves quickly to face the faster, more vicious threat.

Ok, substitute the Walking Dead zombies for the darkseekers in I am Legend, except these creatures do not mind being out during the day.

I'd choose scenario 2 because it's the only scenario where i could survive for an extended period of time and that's only if i had a water vessel. Either way it doesn't matter because just like the rest of humanity i would die horribly in every scenario.

Most likely I would end up six feet under in every scenario, but if scenario 2 is walking dead zombies I take that. Quickly get as many of the people I know and love and supplies together and get to one of several different places I know of in my hometown that would make for a good zombie safe harbor. Clear the area, get the weapons and ammo handy, make barricades, establish jobs and shifts for everyone, fortify everything when the area is safe and secure, etc. Eventually, dig some massive trenches and/or walls or fences using the equipment that the people I know currently have access to IF AND WHEN it is safe to do so.

I live in central Oklahoma (not Shell Beach haha), thus Great Plains of the USA terrain: flat farmland, fields, yards, and roads with not a lot of trees. I've also lived in Western Georgia/Eastern Alabama, so I know the kind of terrain (lots of hills, lots of trees) that Rick and crew had to deal with before they moved on. Won't have that problem in OK: you could see a walker horde coming a mile away (actually more than that depending on weather conditions). Plenty of time to get prepared. Though, like the show, the biggest problem would be human error.

Note to self: I have thought too much about this, and I need to get a new hobby lol.

If it is I Am Legend darkseekers in scenario 2, I'll take Independence Day scenario 1. Once again, being in OK, it'll be at least a good day and a half before the aliens get to me, if they even care to hit OKC and Tulsa at all. Houston is 8 hours from where I'm at, and the alien ship there that got nuked was on July 3rd IIRC, so I'll have till July 4th to either wait it out or escape. By that time, Bill Pullman is giving his speech, and Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith are headed to the mothership with Apple product placement in tow.

The thing is, the alternative ending version shows the DarkSeekers were never really a threat to Robert Neville.

They just wanted to be left alone to survive & raise their families.

The head DarkSeeker attacked Neville's house to free his mate that Neville had captured.

The title refers to Neville being the legend, the boogey man that hunts & kills the DarkSeekers in their sleep.

Day after tomorrow scenario would be fun.

Unless you're trapped in a library in New York City.

I would easily pick TWD. Hell, I'd rather live in TWD than our current world. An ID4 apocalypse wouldn't be too bad for me. I live in Central New York, over 200 miles from NYC, so my city will be safe from the blast, I get to see a UFO, and just wait for Fresh Prince and The Fly to save the day.

Worst thing about TWD is not the zombies, but humans like Negan and the Governor. Even the cannibals at Terminus could surprise you.
