Based on real life metals

Stronger than titanium. Far more durable than osmium, which it only resembles in some ways...

How is that relevant...?

Colossus's metal is organic.
In times of stress it can behave superhumanly the same as a mother might rip a door off a car to save her daughter.

As strong as metal

Colossus had been wearing a red star on his chest.
Perhaps that signifies he is as invulnerable as Superman now without the dependancey on a yellow star.

Hardened titanium.

Almost as strong as tinfoil.

Both titanium and tungsten carbide are considerably harder than precious metals like gold and platinum. However, tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials in existence and substantially harder than titanium, registering a 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.
