No Old Republic/Alderaanian interference (Havoc Squad is not present, nor are anyone else opposing the Empire that were actually there)
Battle is won if all combatants on one side are killed

Approximately 27.6k clones (based off standard legion size)

Shae Vizla, "hundreds of Sith, thousands of Mark I Imperial assault droids, and 'a large number of Imperial soldiers' (presumably in the thousands or ten-thousands).'"

The Imperials march on the Alderaanian capital, while the Grand Army of the Republic moves to intercept. Neither army are aware of the other's numbers or capabilities. They clash in the middle of the forest as seen in Hope (the Republic vehicles must find a way to get through the trees).
