Most Horrible Villains

TheVaultDweller
So, this is a thread to list the worst of the worst. The villains in movies/television that were portrayed as so evil or unpleasant that you couldn't help but hate them.

My personal nomination goes to Ramsay Bolton, from GoT. Been a long time since I wanted a bad guy to get what he deserved as badly as I wanted to see Ramsay get his. And it is also the only time I have ever actually cheered as a movie/tv character was literally getting their face chewed off.

Patient_Leech
lol, I took it as the worst portrayals of a villain. In that case it would be Jesse Eisenberg from BvS and Dominic West as Jigsaw from Punisher: War Zone. They are a couple awful performances that immediately came to mind.

Now actually hated villains, yeah, GoT is a good source. Joffrey also.

Yellow Bastard, Sin City

Cry more. smile You know he's praising him there right?

The thread is asking who the most horrible (sadistic, dickhead, actually villainous) villains are, and he put up Negan. Pretty sure your post is good news for him

Ridley_Prime
Oh, guess I misunderstood the purpose of this thread. Thought it was to list villains that were like terribly portrayed at first and that he was just being another Negan hater like some others we know. Disregard my previous post, then. smile

Kai Winn, DS9.

Because **** you, that's why.

Because I wanted to do both tv and movies, and I'm lazy as shit. And it happens so often that the ship has basically sailed.

And yes, this isn't a thread for bad portrayals/performances. It's about the actual awful characters they portrayed. It's like what they said to the kid who played Joffrey in GoT. Something along the lines of, "Everybody hates you. So, great job with the performance". laughing

Vader killed children and blew up planets.

mass genocide is pretty high on the evil scale. Though people actually like him as a character. Maybe if Yellow Bastard raped women while holding a lightsaber, people would like him too.

TheVaultDweller
Yeah, but Anakin acting like a whiny child detracted a lot from his darker actions in some of the films (namely the prequels). I mean he also slaughters a bunch of sand people, but people almost always forget about that one too, because he was going full emo as he was doing it.

Vader had a redemption story angle along with his vast evils, so you end up not despising him. Unlike say someone like Commodus who was a horrible piece of shit with a totally punchable face/attitude from start to finish, not a redeeming shred at all.

Bringing up Commodus again actually reminds me... Gaius Claudius Glaber from the Spartacus TV show really was an awful human being as well. Even their smarmy douchebag version of Caesar was more likable than him. Also, Crassus' son, Tiberius, was just horrible as well.

Damn, forgot about Goethe. He was one sadistic, twisted Nazi, and that's saying something.

Honestly, Ledger's Joker was pretty evil. He never pulled off the sum total of his ploys as the final bombs weren't triggered, but he left a decently high body count and cared nothing for those he killed. Murder really was just a game to him. I suppose you can throw in Nicholson's Joker as well. He was going to lay waste to the entirety of Gotham. Didn't hate either of them because of how they were portrayed, but they were pretty vile.

..

He stands out for me because most sadistic evil villains on screen have something to make them less hateable. They are either very charismatic or theatrical. Goeth had nothing. Even when he tried to come across as grandiose he failed such as the liquidation of the ghetto speech. He was just a creepy, horrible rattish person on top of his evil and sadistic actions. Even his fellow officers and superiors hated him.

Carl Denham.
A greedy little man, who got a bunch of the SS Venture's crew killed, then used a woman as bait to capture a one of a kind animal, an endangered species really, not to preserve it, but to exploit it.
He then used half assed methods to contain that animal which resulted in its escape in a heavily populated area, costing even more lives and property damage. The animal then had to be put down.
He gives a pithy sound bite over the bled out corpse of a noble beast that died confused, heart broken and alone in a strange alien environment it had no choice in being dragged to, and...he's a good guy.

Carl Denham was a piece of shit.

Yeah Roth's character does something really dispicable.

Nice final battle of Liam's brute force with the blade against Roth's finesse.

Plus Liam in a kilt.
