I don't recall asking for a definition. You claimed that liberal media was only annoying to the people who "brought me fascism." I was pretty sure the rise of fascism was a largely 20th-century-Europe thing, though, so it was hard to imagine my uncle Steve had anything to do with it, that's all.

Fascism is an authoritarian issue, not a left right issue. Communism likewise could be implemented by a right-wing government.

The Klan was created by Democrats as a response to attacks on the idea of states rights. While it has pretty much morphed into the racist Boogeyman, they are actually classical liberals with strong authoritarian biases.

The Holocaust was HEAVILY based on sanctions from WW1 and the fact Germans around the world were victims of hate crimes. This reached its most pivitol when a Jewish writer wrote about how the world would be better off "castrating" all the Germans and the German people dying out. This was what formed the basis of the propaganda that the Nazi party used to take power.

If you don't know history, don't bring it up.

Also nothing you brought up was actually brought about by the media.

The allies essentially paved the way for Hitler and his nazi's to take over in the early 1930s.

Also most don't know that when it comes to the nazi's and eugenics..Hitler was inspired by the USA. The nazis studied American race laws and the only problem they found with them is that they weren't extreme enough for the nazis.

The point is we have a nasty habit of paving the way for people who later turn out to be enemies.

Early fascism, people like the Fasci indeed described themselves as from the left. However, since National Socialism and WWII the term fascism has usually only been applied to the far right. Glad I could help.

This was because after WW1 the situation just got worse and worse. We demanded a shitload of money via reparations..and that hurt Germany, and then in 1929 you had the start of the great depression, which made things even worse and primed Germany for a nazi takeover.

So Trump does have that in common with Hitler, in that he won because people were so desperate for change.

Admittedly, I saw your post but wanted to add just a few cents.

You are basically correct. Hitler used socialism and leftist rhetoric to gain absolute power. Was he a true believer, or was he just manipulating it all along? Hard to say, and tbh a similar argument can be made about any dictator.

As to Communists, I think they were in his top 10 list of people he hated. Hitler was also pragmatic in a way. He wanted to get all of the Left voters and Communists were a threat to his plans.

You are right, though. Once he had total control he went full nationalist. But it would not be possible to achieve without his totalitarian bend on socialism.

TBH Romanians, Slavic people, Gypsies and even priests were higher on that Hitler's "people I hate" list, it seems. I was in Dachau a few years ago and I was actually quite surprised that there were so many priests killed in that death camp.

Liberals had some bright ideas initially but they are slowly but surely transforming into an intolerant bunch and a fascist regime. They will put conservatives to shame, if granted too much power.

Also, anybody with an iota of understanding of economic situation of the country would have identified Hillary Clinton as a threat to the well-being of American lower income classes and economic interests of the country much earlier than elections. She was willing to kill shale revolution for the sake of appeasing to global-warming leftists and to protect the interests of liberal corporate elite and some foreign states who were her chief financiers.
