Hillary won the popular vote against Trump. Throw in the democrat who was already more popular than her (see 2008 primary) before she did a bunch of atrocious despicable shit that made everyone hate her, and there's no contest really. Not to mention the fact that Obama has 10X as much charisma as Hillary.

Hillary had the woman card to shield her from having to verbally duel Trump, Obama would have been embarred. Keep in mind Jeb Bush was the frontrunner before battling Trump. Jeb was supposed to beat Hillary.

What are the things that cost Hillary the election?

One is a lack of charisma and likeability. Obama's always come off as likeable and he's undeniably charismatic.

Another is the idea of Clinton being a criminal/corrupt, and all the emails. This likely wouldn't have happened with Obama, and if it did he would have handled it much better than Clinton did. He's incredibly good at deflecting things, which I guess goes back to his innate charisma.

And the other big one is the angry Bernie supporters who stayed home. This also wouldn't have been a problem because Bernie never would have run if Obama had been allowed to run for a third term, so those people who were angry at Hillary and decided to sit out or protest vote probably would have voted for Obama since they would have no reason to be angry in the first place.

The other things in Obama's favor would have been a very high approval rating, higher than both Trump and Clinton while they were running. Even now while Trump is enjoying his post election win approval rating bump, Obama's is still higher.

Also the black vote probably would have come out for Obama much moreso than they did for Clinton.

So yeah I think Obama probably would have won by a pretty significant margin.

Lol, where were you in 2008? I was in Iraq and even I saw the zealotry from alot of black actors, news people, talking heads, sports people, musicians that all said, and I'm paraphrasing, "he's black, thus he knows our struggle and will help us."

Now whether that's racism or not, honestly I don't care but it is the reality. Black people in mass voted for Obama because of the color of his skin.

Of course people voted for Obama because he was black. Did everyone who voted for him do so because he was black? Of course not, but it certainly played a part.

I think it's probably a combination of things. Him being black would be among them. He's also very good at targeting specific groups and altering his campaigning to attract them. He's one of the most gifted political campaigners around and even if you changed his skin color but changed nothing else, he'd probably still be able to appeal to many groups - black people included - very effectively.
