Why? I believe incredible's limit in strength is much lower than Maui. Maui I believe could defeat omnidroid 9 which Mr I could not defeat.

What gives you that idea? Getting tossed around by a crab or running away from the coconuts? Maui's shape changing and magic hook are tough but he isn't nearly as strong as Mr incredible

Good question. It's the story dynamics. Maui was not the lead character of the movie, so we don't to see many feats. But at the end of the movie, a tattoo formed on maui to prove his accomplishment with Moana which only verifies his other feats his tattoos show. He defeated various monsters, he ripped Tamamoa leg. Tamamoa actually fears maui. Maui dragged the sun. Pulled out various islands. He is smart and vastly powerful than Mr I.
