Harald Jaekelsson is a cool character one of my favorites

Like legit, concept and everything? Deadpool, Hulk, Red Hood, Sentry, Nightwing...a lot for me.

Coolest? For me it would be either Spider-Man or DareDevil. The whole character archetype and thinking behind those characters is simply elegant. Who they are, what they are, why they do what they do, their struggles, their abilities. Even their costumes.

So for me those two.

The Darkness possibly makes it to third spot.

All three have cool backstories, do not have exorbitant powers that enable them to leap over tall buildings or sundip, do not have childishly infantile rage-fueled powers that turn them into big green dumb brutes, don't need caves full of bats and toys, or suits of armor that pack everything but the kitchen sink, no blades in forearms that 'snikt' out (how exactly can Wolvie bend his wrists), no silly green rings.

Simple, well thought out, difficult to attract silly legions of fanboys, and yet so elegant.

Definitely have to give props to Spider-Man, especially if you were lucky enough to be reading about him during his black costume era, circa 1985-1987.
Never seen comics before or since that managed to be so wordy yet full of action, so relate-able and so JUST within the realm of believability.

Supergirl as played by Melissa Benoist in Season 1 on CBS is the other choice that comes to mind. Never imagined I'd ever see a live action version of a character that scored right on so many levels showing a young woman who was redoubtably strong in almost every area and good sense of the word. Shame the show didn't stay at CBS where the values that make Supergirl truly Supergirl were largely being maintained. Had to applaud the writers for how daring and innovative they could be that first season, too. Martian Manhunter?!? They scrap the cliched Superman villain and deliver the founder of the JLA!? Master Jailer? A trans-network crossover with the Flash? What a show. Truly a joy to watch for most of those installments, that Season One ...

Scarlet spider of the 90's, the one with the blue hoodie. I remember reading a comic book, actually i think it was called marvel knights and it was online and had no pics but the author described it well enough. Anyway Ben was going up against a villain when all of a sudden he ended up thrown in a building on the18th floor followed by explosion. He walked thru the smoke and saw his hoodie in tatters do he type it off. But before he went looking for the villain he took a spray paint can and painted a large spider on his chest.

Iron man has always been the coolest character to me. It started with the look of his armor in MVC then when I found out he made the armor himself his cool points shot through the roof for me. At his best I honestly wouldn't change a thing about the character. I thought he was far cooler before RDJ started bleeding into the comic character. By that I mean the annoying qualities.
