I'd need to learn more about Shade. According to what DC fans say, he should be too much to handle for 2nd form Spawn.

JL cartoon Shade would get stomped, of course.

I laughed because every time i use Shade its a crapshoot.

I reckon this is a good fight. Most of Shade's "potency" comes solely from statements and hyperbole. Like when Fate stated that even the Spectre would find it hard to defeat him. But really he was an enemy of The Flashes (Jay and Barry) and Starman and while Ted Knight is pretty powerful when you take in his peak showings (like taking on Ultaman etc) his average showings wouldn't place him above Spawn IMO.

I remember seeing scans of feats showing him to be pretty potent and yeah as others have said...statements implied him to be almost near cosmic levels. But he has some impressive stuff.

See, i agree with you.
Before my last Shade thread, i spent time reading up in his powers, and while formidable, they didn't seem so powerful as to put him on the level i've seen described.

I'm no Shade expert, and once posters here declare 'insta win' its more trouble than its worth to argue, especially in a thread i myself started.

Yeah, the thing to remember about that is, it happens waaaay in the future. A lot of things could have happened to Shade between then and the mainstream timeline.

He's never really shown that level of power anywhere else.
