Dogma

"Why should the veneration of the body be a crime? Why should we discredit the adoration of our companions and companions? Sigmar has long since died, yet he is treated like a God. Slaanesh is alive and all he asks of us is to love one another for what we really are. You can keep it, your deceased God. "

- Excerpts from the confession of Baron Otto von Daubler

The cults of Slaanesh are prolific; They are found as well in town as in the worst lost holes. Slaanesh offers a lot of fun and so much suffering. He fulfills each of your dreams, whether it is carnal union or the creation of beautiful sonnets. Patron of sweet dreamers and envious, it is surprisingly popular and possesses the souls of many personalities of the Empire. Slaanesh is much more accepted in the Old World than most other Chaos gods. If his perverse acts disgust most honest people, some are attracted by the freedom and carnal pleasures that he promises them. Slaanesh is particularly popular among the nobles, although the commoners often pray to him in secret to forget their sordid existence made only of chores and servitude.

There are many reasons why Slaanesh is so popular and holds such power in the Old World. Moral oppression is probably the main one. With a cult of monolithic Sigmar, the inhabitants of the Old World feel that they are repressed by the edicts of the temples, obliged to lead a life that does not fit their desires and needs. Add to this the notions of behavioral acceptability maintained by customs, and you get a society crushed by moral and ethical oppression.

Social restrictions are not the only reasons why people turn to Chaos. The Empire is a state where rank plays a leading role, a nation of classes, but the system is fluid. It is true that the poor have little hope of rising, but an artist painting the perfect portrait can be catapulted over the front of the stage from one day to the next. Similarly, a successful poet will be able to spend the rest of his days in comfort. But these achievements are rare. Moreover, it is much easier to fall from its pedestal. Thus a man may be the favorite courtier of the Countess one day, and hanged on the gibbet the next day. Add to this a growing merchant class that slowly but surely encroaches on the aristocracy's preserve in terms of wealth, and the social structure of the Empire will seem more complex than ever.

Given the fluidity of the imperial structure, individuals have much to gain and to lose; Depending on their fortune, talent and ability to convince their neighbors of their value. This creates tremendous pressure and stress, and with their desire to succeed (or simply survive), many turn to the forces of darkness for inspiration and assistance. Given that Slaanesh proposes to realize all dreams, some speak to him when their trials are too heavy to bear. And Slaanesh most often responds. The more it gives, the more the mortals want it. An artist who lets himself be tempted by this Dark God will no doubt find the inspiration necessary to paint a masterpiece, but will soon realize that he will not be able to renew the experience without the help of the Supreme Serpent. He will end up giving himself more and more often to the Master of Pleasures, until he can do nothing without feeling his caress.

The disciples of Slaanesh are perverse hedonists, made up of the worst of what mankind has to offer. Everything, from sadistic to masochistic, is found, all giving themselves up to the worst vices for a brief moment of thrill, the fulfillment of all their desires in a few moments. The figure of Slaanesh being the 6th, its cults usually meet in multiples of six. No one is immune to the charms of Slaanesh; It attracts both the nobles and the commoners. The Master of Pleasures seduces people from the Empire to Bretonnia through the great city-states of Tilee and the fortified palaces of Estalia. During their perverse orgies, they often kill as they entertain, inviting strangers to take part in their hideous rituals, during which they titillate them with great promise, the whole reaching its culminating point when the guest willingly sacrifices his life For his new God.

Manifestation

"Kiss Poisoned, is the edge of the stylet. Crimson triumph, are the red lips of blood. Delightful grief, is the soul of the mortal who is extinguished. Dance of blades haunting and exquisite, pain is only part handed. Screaming Herald, who proclaims the ultimate eternal victory, in the embrace of Slaanesh, let us fall, for he is our Dark Love and our Dark Lord. "

- Anonymous Slaanesh's Demonette

Divinely graceful and ravishing, the slender and elegant body of this divinity is hermaphrodite: male on the left and female side on the right, to better defy the order of the world. Unlike the other gods of Chaos, it is the only one to possess an engaging aspect, that of a slender and elegant being with the enchanting and diabolical androgynous beauty, nimbed with a totally irresistible palpable charm that aspires the souls of the bodies of its Enemies, lost in the depths of his languorous gaze. Stunning and magnificent in some ways, it is extremely disturbing and unnatural by others. Slaanesh can take on a masculine, feminine, hermaphrodite or androgynous appearance, but it appears most often in the form of a young beardless man filled with the sap of youth. He is a winner as only an immortal can be, disarming of innocence and sorcerer in his slightest gestures. His hair floats like waves of pure gold, pierced by two black horns that push him to the forehead. He is dressed in a sparkling mesh shirt lined with velvet and gems with obscene beauty. In his right hand, he wears a scepter of magic jade which he claims to be his most precious treasure.

The Scar: During the war between the Elven Pantheon and the Chaos Gods, Khaine and Slaanesh clashed. Even though Khaine was banished to the realm of mortals, he inflicted severe wounds on the Prince of Chaos, and left on his perfect face a notch that never completely healed.

Slaanesh and the Great Game

Even though Slaanesh is the least powerful of the four brothers, the other Chaos gods fear him secretly (though none of them will openly acknowledge him). Although Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch infuse - respectively - wars, plagues and machinations into the world of men, Slaanesh gains power by feeding the darkest impulses of mankind, stirring the fires of all that drives mortals into the world, before. In the end, this power is autonomous, for heresy begets heresy. One day, Khorne will run out of enemies, Nurgle's count for epidemics will be over, and Tzeentch's plots will come to their conclusion. No one, however, can imagine a moment when mortals will be able to put aside their darkest passions and selfish desires and renounce what they most desire. In truth, the potential of the Supreme Serpent is limitless because it is defined by the evils that men can dream of inflicting on one another.

Khorne is the only God to openly detest Slaanesh, fulminating against the decadence and lust in which his rival wallows. While a devotee of the God of Blood will prevail by the brutal use of his strength, a servant of Slaanesh will savor each of the delicate slashes aroused by his blade, and will release his victim from his respect only when she no longer provides him pleasure. However, Nurgle and Tzeentch also have difficulty in enduring the presence of the Prince of Chaos. This is partly due to the fact that he incarnates the excesses of the other gods: Khorne and his anger, Tzeentch and his intrigues, Nurgle and his love of pestilence. Unconsciously, they realize that Slaanesh's influence is getting stronger and stronger, and that perhaps one day the power of the Prince of Chaos will match theirs, or even eclipse it.

Prince of Chaos Domain

In the undulating and unlimited kingdoms of Chaos, each God has his own territory, whose unreal boundaries grow and decrease as the power of their master flow and ebb. That of the Prince of Chaos is the smallest of these infernal regions, for Slaanesh is the youngest of the Gods of Chaos and his power does not equal that of his brothers.

Unlike the other Powers of the Ruin, in particular Khorne, Slaanesh has no fortress or citadel as such. Instead, his court is in a vast, luxurious, shimmering pavilion where all the excesses imagined by humanity are practiced to the last degree: worshipers and devils indulge in them without any inhibition at orgies and feasts where food Foul yet has an exquisite taste. It is said that this terrible place is agitated with emotion and experience so extreme that it radiates in the dreams and desires of mortals, stirring up the hidden passions and nourishing the secret appetites. It is even said that these extremes are practiced in the form of competitions, judged by Slaanesh, so that his champions can be chosen and sent into the world to spread their evils among mortals.

Such a place may seem vulnerable to an attack by the cohorts of the brothers of the Prince of Chaos. With his hosts in every possible way in the roof of his pavilion, his enemies could easily attack and destroy his domains once and for all, but the possessions of Slaanesh are well protected, because their defense is the weaknesses Intruders themselves: any attacker must first pass through the Six Circles of Temptation before entering the territory of the Prince of Chaos.

Although appearances suggest that he welcomes them with open arms on his land, Slaanesh traps both his friends and his enemies. Once subjugated to the will of the Supreme Serpent, death is a merciful liberation from which the damned can only dream. The few people who somehow manage to pass through the Six Circles meet in front of Slaanesh himself. It is impossible for a mortal to contemplate his angelic face without losing his soul, and those who do so become enslaved to all his caprices. In truth, an eternity of damnation awaits souls enslaved to the blasphemous desires of the Prince of Chaos.

Revanchiste
The Cultists

"I have been informed that prominent members of the prestigious Red Falcon Salon engaged in blasphemous rituals and had been behaving in a way that did not suit the nobles. The confessions of the witnesses cause me great uneasiness. Stories of carnal acts, bloody sacrifices and the absorption of illegal substances of a suspicious nature are only the beginning. I advocate the arrest and interrogation of these members for more information, as well as purification of the parlor by fire, should these rumors be based. "

- Mannfred Shonauger, Wrecker

Cultist of Slaanesh

What kind of mortal is subjugated by the song of the sirens of the Supreme Serpent and promise their souls to Slaanesh? Of course, those who have noble blood are easy prey for the Great Corruptor, but there are also many others, from artists and musicians to politicians and warriors. Slaanesh is honored in its many forms throughout the Northern Lands as well as in the Old World. Thousands of years ago, a faction of the Ulthuan Elves indulged in the perversions of the Cult of Pleasure, which is said to have been the cause of the great split which divided this noble race. Throughout the heart of the largest cities, decadent and discreet worship is hatched in the higher spheres of society. How many then inadvertently slipped into the welcoming arms of Slaanesh by slowly succumbing to sin? How many great leaders have allied themselves with the Prince of Chaos to strengthen their position, or even to arouse the admiration and respect of their fellow citizens? Slaanesh exploits these weaknesses to revel in the devotion he inspires them.

The nobles are particularly inclined to be seduced by the promises of Slaanesh, thanks to a life of indolence without hindrance. It is said that most of the worshipers of Chaos worshipers who exist throughout the Empire have arisen between coteries of noble idlers, individuals whose decadence has gone from selfish banter to something much darker. In these groups the thrill of futile indecency is too easily oriented towards manifest blasphemy and deliberate iconoclasm. Similarly, curious minds can easily pass from exoticism to esotericism; From there, the path to the pursuit of forbidden knowledge is as rapid as it is reprehensible. Those who intrigue and conspire against rivals or more favored parents are abused by the promise of extraordinary powers, while people with certain weaknesses, real or imagined, might find a way to overcome them, if they accept pay the price.

When the lazy "frasques" of the nobility are transformed into active pursuit of power, the agents of the Powers of the Ruin are ready to offer their advice and to drive the damned always further. Hooded foreigners appear in the early morning and speak to the glassy-eyed nobles about power and experiences that even they have never imagined. Messages are written and rituals are performed. The blood is poured and pacts are sealed. Souls are exchanged and unnameable acts performed. Overnight, the group of nobles seeking distractions from the small cares of everyday life became a cult, members fearing to be discovered by the Wailers who suddenly appeared in the city. Even before they realized it, the nobles became devotees of the Powers of the Ruin, already integrated into the innumerable ranks of the wanderers and the damned.

In truth, most of the Old World men who hear Slaneesh's call will die long before they can fully respond, for the Sigmar Templars are always vigilant. Some are consumed by their passions, drinking too long at the nectar of obsession, so that their sins become evident to all those around them. Others are endowed with marks of their divinity, so that they must flee into the woods before their true nature is revealed, but most of them will be easy prey for the Beastmen and other inhabitants Of forests, and they will never realize the visions that haunt their feverish dreams. Unless their dark passions hatch within an established worship, the debauchery that seizes them invariably signals their covenant with the Supreme Serpent in the eyes of all, and makes their sins impossible to ignore.

That is why those who worship the Prince of Chaos are used to form secret coteries, sects and confraternities, for, perhaps more than for the followers of the other Chaos Gods, their actions must remain hidden in order to endure. The disciples of Slaanesh are gregarious by nature, and their rituals require both victims and an audience, although these are often the same people who fulfill these two roles. Indeed, no act, however extreme or blasphemous it may be, makes sense if no one else is witnessed, whether by other Slaanesh followers or by just involuntary victims before moving from Life to death.

Most of his disciples avoid wearing the Lord of Pleasures symbols in public, but most dress in a sensual way or wear jewelry with erotic motifs as a sign of their allegiance. In fact, his worshipers are often dressed in the latest fashion, although their clothes are adjusted to reveal even more their bodies or to emphasize the forms in order to push the limits of propriety. During private rituals, the worshipers wear dresses exposing their right breasts, whatever their sex.

Great is the attraction aroused by the incarnation of satisfaction in all its forms, and those who join it succumb quickly to the sins of pride and arrogance. Slaanesh's henchmen are always sensual and exercise a strange seduction despite their repugnant mutations and mutilations. Those who serve for a long time the Supreme Serpent lose any inhibition imposed by the social norm. What was once pleasant to them becomes banal, and these disciples must seek new ways more strange and depraved to appease their appetites. Soon even the most debauched experiences of the flesh lose their attraction, and the worshipers of Slaanesh must seek sensations of gentle agony to feel the slightest excitement. Decadence gives birth to perversion and perversion becomes abomination, until there is nothing left but a frantic and throbbing need to feel something ... anything.

Just the chaos gods, it goes:

Tzeentch
Nurgle
Korne
Slaanesh

Though it's being theorized that Korny is a power-bottom and just acts all 'Raaarr! Kill! Destroy!" to try and hide that from his followers. So Slaanesh is likely above Chrone and he's at the bottom, where he belongs.

NemeBro
Pretty sure Khorne is the most powerful Chaos God by most accounts.

You would say that!

Khorne might get subbtle time to time. And nah he is way more powerfull because of the : "there is only war" granted all chaos benefits from the "there is only war thing" but hey !
He is the most powerfull in raw power, but the one that is truly at top is tzeench bullying making him destroy the door of his airin forteresse just for the lul.
Tzeench have dominate all 4 chaos gods (ewell except slaanesh where he kinda plotted toward his birth and he is just mistrusting him at best he is just no too hostile with her, he also started a war betweeen slaanesh and nurgle just for the lulz)

Slaanesh is the godwith an universal appeal steeling followers from all 4 chaos gods.
His/her power grow much faster than the other chaos gods, he is gaining power really god dman fast Really don't under-estimate slaanesh, his pwoer may be teh lwoest but his potential rival tzeench....

You would think that the fear of death is universal? But it is not a strong enough emotion to egenrate power, so NUrgle is the most reliant on daemonic influence, to generate things like near death/near end of teh world kinda of feeling, and it is inchorent mixed togather, that is why he is so slow and carefull......

He completly suck, his power rise atop during epidemies but. otehrwise.... He just suck...

Robtard
In the case that Khornhole is strong because he feeds off of war and in the dark future of WH40K 'there is only war', wouldn't by that same logic make Grandfather Nurgle the strongest since he's the chaos god of disease, decay and destruction? Think about it, the universe is in state of entropy (See: Second Law of Thermodynamics see: Heat Death of The Universe), Nurgle is being fed on a universal scale.

/boom
/killedit

Revanchiste
Yep nurgle really feast off teh chaos anddestruction that is why he is kinda freiendly to khorne (but teh reverse si'nt true Khone do not udnerstand that patient guy witha a weird sens of humor)

The problem is that nurgle influence, is well shitty, it is not really appealing to the mortal, and the hope that tzeench inspire, and the escape from thos horrible provided by slaanesh is a way ebtetr ooption, considering that both god are more generous.

The idea of being a piece of shit is not bad thing O.K, being free from pain OK, bringing deasease pain and suffering as gift while having the previous statement indortinated in yoru mind just no....
Nurgle feed off of near death or end of the world feelings and emotions, and humans emotion and reactions towards thsoe kind of situations are varied, and nurgle isn't selective about it.

+The nurgle like you like you are right now (but it could be better if your flesh were bit more purulent) Nurgle isn't without dirty fetischism.
Nurgle daemonic influence isn't efefctive, compare it to slaanesh who barely need any but manifest himself in the mortal world way more often than the other gods nurgle slow decay and corruption will never have time to really spread...
And then tzeench can basicly manipulate the otehr gods, creating war and conflict between them somtimes just for the lulz factor (see changling), no matter how powerfull the other chaos gods are, tzeench will always be the greatest, because he kinda controls them.

And slaanesh also love near detah things. Nurgle is getting bullied by slaanesh and tzeench.......

Now let me google trnalsate a detail article about nurgle from the fantasy universe.

Whenever a corpse ravaged by the plague is removed from a house, one feels its presence. As soon as I find a poor fellow lying face down in the street, covered with wounds, and must be dragged to the doctor or his grave, I know he is there. Every time I hear of the green pox approaching the city, I know that the Lord of Pestilence laughs at us. "

- Dieter de Middenheim, street sweeper

Sphere of Influence: Despair
Other Titles: Lord of Pestilence, Great Corruptor, Master of Plague, Lord of Flies, Father or Grandfather Nurgle
Seat: The Fallen Fortress
Famous Cultures: The Children of Fate, the Disciples of the Fetid Maw, the Alliance of the Purple Plague, the Brotherhood of the Second Flesh.
Sacred figure: the 7
Symbols: Nurgle's main symbol is composed of three triangular agglomerated spheres, resembling scholars to pustules, buboes, or other disease symptoms. The elect of Nurgle often discover this symbol on their putrefied skin. Other symbols include flies, tentacles, open mouths and repugnant calyxes.
Sacred Colors: The sacred colors of the Master of the Plague are sickening yellows, greens and browns.
Sacred Animal: Animals devoted to Nurgle are flies, maggots and black crows, although all creatures that feed on carrion or spread epidemics have its favor. Sick animals who are on their last days are often sacrificed to Nurgle and left to rot in the wells or food warehouses of healthy individuals.
Sacred Days: The main sacred day of Nurgle is the 15th Sommerzeit, the day when the Black Death broke out in Altdorf in the year 1111. Hexentag and Geheimistag are also celebrated, as well as various days corresponding to the beginnings of epidemic.

Revanchiste
The only thing that binds all mortals, from the brutal tribe of the Chaos Desolations to the refined Altdorf imperial aristocrats, is that each of them is subject to sickness, progressive atrophy of old age and death. Death is a fatality for living beings, and with it comes degradation, for they live in a world where nothing is permanent: in the future aes, even the great Fauschlag, on which Middenheim is built, will be reduced to dust. Most civilized people refrain from thinking of this by finding solace in immortal divinities, in stone temples that underline the illusion of eternal permanence in the face of the agonies of time. But deep down, every mortal is inhabited by the desire to see every thing rotten and fall into ruin.

Nurgle is the Lord of Degradation, also called Nurglitch, Onogal, Neiglen and bearer of many other titles. He is the vile God of sickness, decay and entropy, the inventor of torments, the father of epidemics, the purveyor of corruption, in a word, the incarnation of the elementary forces which restrain all forms of self- Evolution and progress. It is he who inflicts on the world his famines and his epidemics, and towards him are turned the mortals who wish to protect themselves against the depredations and the disease, the age and the inevitable decline which does not fail to leave behind him passing time. We can always repel invaders, but disease is a terrible threat, and it is almost impossible to avoid it in the midst of all the dirt of the Old World. A rotten crop, a child with fevers, gangrene spreading on a battlefield are all reasons to beg Nurgle to put an end to his calamities.

The Master of the Plague, by its very nature, represents the eternal cycle of life: decay is inevitable, but is always followed by a rebirth. However, if the Lord of Pestilence has a say, it will generally have a disgusting aspect. Citizens of the Old World see Nurgle as a sinister and insidious threat, since it represents the most corrupting factors of existence.

As Lord of Pestilence, he is the inventor of torments, the father of epidemics and the purveyor of corruption. He loves to spread his infectious caresses among mortals, engendering new plagues which are as many presents as he makes to the living. It is said that Nurgle rejoices at seeing every new contagion in action, and that of all the gods, he is the one who is most interested in the sufferings of his mortal servants. These represent him as an affectionate and almost jovial God, sometimes calling him Father or Great-Father Nurgle. He is famous for his perverse sense of humor and joviality, and he shows unhealthy tenderness and love for his worshipers.

Among the worshipers of Nurgle are the sick, the nihilists, and the mad. His disciples generally come from the poorest classes - desperate, lepers, sick - whose members already live in mire and despair. Nurgle welcomes the oppressed, the forgotten and those who no longer have any purpose in life, thinking to give them a new impetus thanks to the "blessings" that rain on them. Nurgle sees healthy individuals as virgins waiting to be combed.

Nurgle is regarded as a God of love by his worshipers, and he is very interested in their activities and conspiracies. Disciples particularly well received receive the worst diseases and epidemics, often becoming deformed monstrosities infested with frightful mutations. Nurgle spreads illness by subterfuge, stirring his disciples to mingle with the masses as much as possible. It is not opposed to war and sees it as an excellent means of spreading new diseases through terrible wounds, ruined crops, and dirty water. It is said that he whispers in the ear of the agonizers on the battlefield, offering them eternal life - though in a putrefied form - if they respond to his call.

Nurgle is particularly proud to bless the healers and doctors, helping them to understand the true beauty of the plague. He never wants to destroy, but rather to improve, instruct and reveal the true wonders of the disease. Of course, his nature tends to rot and cause degradation of the objects of his affection, but such consequences are acceptable as Nurgle sees decrepitude as an improvement in ordinary beauty.

In the end, Nurgle is not a God of destruction in the strict sense of the word: he cherishes every form of life. The postillions of the newborn child are as dear to his eyes as the hatching of flies in his gut. It is simply regrettable that most of the world's prevalent life forms - viruses and bacteria - are hostile to all other forms of life, whether human, dwarf or other.

Manifestation

Nurgle is truly the Master of Pestilence, for his immense carcass is the receptacle of all diseases known to mortals. In the eyes of his worshipers, this God appears in the form of a massive creature, puffy and sclerotic, infested with blisters, crusts and buboes, and releasing an unbearable stench. Its green skin, parchment, necrotic, infested with sores and lesions, is suppurative of pus. It is surrounded by a cloud of flies, each of which carries the mark of the divinity on its shell. Its internal organs overflowing with rotting droppings hang softly from its gaping wounds like over-ripe fruit. Minuscule Demons-the Nurglings-sprang from it incessantly, and amuse themselves by chewing the distended guts or sucking with delight the viscous humours which escape from them. His puffy face with the sly look is often split with an ironic smile from which overcomes an immensely long tongue terminated by a little deformed face. Two large horns, yellowed, chipped, and incrusted with dried blood and ignoble substances, grow on his head, near which many plump flies buzz. Nurgle loves his own face (a bubbling and pustular face to the brim) and his Demons are often miniature versions of their master. He constantly displays a kind smile of contentment. Sitting on his throne, he caresses and cajoles his henchmen, submerging them with affectionate little names while crushing hundreds of them, under his weight or a trivial little reverse of his suppurative hand. Such is the appearance of Nurgle, although words are not sufficient to describe his abominable aspect, but in spite of his sickening aspect, Nurgle is astonishingly robust and full of impious energy.

Nurgle and the Great Game

Nurgle, obsessed with his incessant fetid experiments, seems to care little about the Divine Game, and when he goes to parley with his brothers at the Court of Trier, he is always depicted as a jester, the too - good - talkative friend to his brothers. Yet his subtly enthusiastic humor undermines the plans of the other Chaos gods: he drags Khorne into unreflecting fury, disrupts Tzeentch's insidious train of thought, and distracts Slaanesh from his gentle shenanigans. In parallel, Nurgle's own plots slowly spread like a contagious fever. In truth, his benign nature masks his true opinions. The imprudent desire for destruction of Khorne upsets him, Nurgle having a patient and beneficent heart. The indolent nature of Slaanesh disgusts the Lord of the Plague, who is always feverishly busy in his studio. However, he reserves the bulk of his wrath towards Tzeentch, which represents evolution, fluid movement and instantaneous change, while Nurgle loves delights gradually acquiring maturity and the moldy fragrance of stagnation. These two deities engage in a struggle on a galactic scale, and whatever the conqueror, the material world will only suffer.

In the Desolations of Chaos, wild men of the cult of Great Nurgle welcome the benefits of God as a deliverer, for he gives his faithful adherents deliverance from the sufferings of their afflictions. Some tribes devote themselves entirely to the Lord of Putrefaction, nourishing their wounds, spreading their diseases and waging war against those who refuse to recognize him as superior to other gods. The Powers of the Ruin play their game in the desolations of the north, dipping it with blood crimson by many carnage. Although Nurgle's Chaos Warriors and his Champions are not as bloody as Khorne's, or as cunning and agile as Tzeentch's and Slaanesh's, they are very tough fighters: it's hard to kill someone whose Sick flesh renders it insensible to pain.

However, it is in the Old World that the Great Game is really played, and it is in this arena that Nurgle really excels. The call of Khorne is reserved for those maddened by the thirst for blood, Tzeentch attracts magicians and those who prosper by cunning and lies, and Slaanesh attracts the degenerates. On the other hand, all mortals can feel the presence of Nurgle. The Lord of Decadence is a patient player: it takes time to brew his wounds, but his influence is spreading gradually throughout the world. The cults of Nurgle rotted the heart of the Empire, weakening the strength of the Emperor's armies and the morale of his civilian subjects, by spreading the disease. A cough can bring a general to his knees, resulting in a loss of local command. A sneeze can decimate an entire city. When these subtle measures fail, the cultists can tear the veil between reality and the Chaos Realms, summoning the Demons of Nurgle with their contagions.

Although the Chaos Realms protocol places Nurgle at a lower rank than Khorne and Tzeentch, it does not mean that it is weaker than its brothers: its power is simply less stable. Indeed, Nurgle's place within the pantheon of the Gods of Chaos is inevitably linked to the fulfillment of his works in the material world. At the height of the epidemics, his power reaches its zenith, eclipsing for a time the united power of all the other gods. Because of this, Nurgle inspires a tinged respect for his brothers. On the other hand, the nature of its power is such that it will always end up completely consuming its victims, thus preventing contamination from spreading further. It is at this moment that the strength of the God of the Plague is diminishing and its plans are crumbling, but one thing is certain: its viruses are never totally eradicated and their spores have often had the opportunity to spread , Waiting to wake up to wreak havoc and swell the ranks of Nurgle followers with new outbreaks of street infections.

I observe it. I discern in your eyes the hatred concealed by your precious gestures. I'm listening to you. I know the terrible blackness behind your clever lies. I'm waiting for you at the border of madness. I savor the suffering of your mind, your desire to solve this enigma. It is in the darkest abysses of your soul that I nestled myself. In this darkness I await my hour. I wait patiently for the moment when your eyes will open and you will realize that it is only by my will that you breathe. For I am Tzeentch, and you are only a puppet who dances to the sound of my melody. "

Tzeentch.png

Sphere of Influence: Hope
Other Titles: Master of Change, Great Conspirator, Master of Chance, Architect of Fate, Great Instigator, Master of Magic, Whom Whispers Words of Power
Seat: the Impossible Fortress
Famous Cults: the Purple Hand, the Red Crown, the Silver Wheel, the Knights of Tzeentch of Kaldour
Sacred figure: the 9
Symbols: The symbol of Tzeentch is a sphere framed by a strange and sinuous seal, although its worshipers sometimes use the Seeing All Eye, a suitable symbol for the Architect of Destiny. Magicians recognize his magic power and fear his sinister power. Those who look at this symbol too long swear that it is convulse and palpitates before their eyes, a spectacle that risks in the long term to provoke madness.
Sacred Colors: Tzeentch's colors are bright and screaming, with a special emphasis on bright yellow, sparkling blue and gold.
Sacred Animal: Birds of all kinds, and especially crows and condors, are sacred for Tzeentch. Some of the mutations he particularly likes to inflict on his worshipers are turning their heads into a deformed eagle, giving them multicolored wings, or changing their hands and feet into curved greenhouses.
Sacred Days: It is almost impossible to predict the sacred days of Tzeentch. The worshipers are supposed to memorize a fluctuating list of numbers, representing the intervals between the sacred days. There always seems to be a guideline in this sequence, but no one has ever managed to define it precisely. Generally, the Magus of each cult is content to announce the new series of numbers after receiving a vision or some sort of divine message.

Tzeentch is an enigma for most inhabitants of the Old World. What is known is that God defines change, representing the process of transformation. Change is the very essence of Chaos, and Tzeentch's pretensions to all who worship Chaos are thus partly justified, for without transformation a warrior could not attain excellence, the Gods would be incapable of giving their rewards and The living would be immortal.

Venerated by the Magicians, Mesmers and a not insignificant number of cultists, he is considered by his disciples as a means and not an end, a path leading to incredible powers if one is willing to pay the exorbitant price. Tzeentch embodies alteration, which is the very essence of Chaos, as well as the mutating energy to which mortals give the name of Magic. Even though the northern barbarians sometimes call it Tchar, if it is Tchen to the far east and Shunch in the southern jungles, these names are all synonymous with change. He is everywhere the Great Instigator, a subtle and omniscient manipulator whose complex plans span thousands of years and are irretrievably inexplicable and contradictory in the eyes of mortals; The puppeteer who draws the strings of the Destiny from his worshipers as from their enemies; The Embroiderer of Destinies, who weaves a tangled web to arrive at his incomprehensible ends; The Great Conspirator, murmuring diabolical advice in the ears of monarchs, and encouraging murderous ambition and rebellion in their subjects; The Architect of Change, who observes with fascination how the mortal flesh perverts itself to its touch and how nature abandons itself to its anarchic imagination.

Revanchiste
Tzeentch is almost as powerful as Khorne, but his powers follow a different axis. He is the master of Magic and subtlety. It is Tzeentch who maintains the Kingdoms of Chaos out of time and space, and it is he who presides over the destiny of the material universe. His real designs are impenetrable and if he tries to dominate his brothers, his methods are at least indirect, and he seems to prefer to use others as a pawn to carry out his plans. His endeavors are always complex and obscure and he is the principal artisan of the secret alliances between the Gods.

Tzeentch weaves the fate of mortals as if they were merely vulgar dolls, dragging them into a cruel game of his own. Royal and horrible at the same time, he pulls the strings of Magic and fate from his kingdom, scrutinizing the skein of the future and the past to manipulate the world as he pleases. He is the most generous of the Gods of Chaos, granting favors to all who ask for it, but the price of his presents is the worst. He is the master of lies and subterfuge, secret powers behind the scenes, sinister pacts and duped markets. Tzeentch is the greatest magical source of Chaos, and many of his servants are Black Magisters or individuals who play with the occult forces. Even those who turn away from him recognize him as a primordial source of magic, for Tzeentch is universally recognized as the Frightful God of Magic. He is associated with all magicians, and also with those who seek power to satisfy their personal designs. Tzeentch mocks whoever invokes him, as long as this person is ready to pass a Faustian pact that will allow him to gain power and magical knowledge in exchange for his will and soul.

The Great Sorcerer is not inclined to act lightly, for he is too busy with his contemplations. He prefers to delegate tasks to his valets. Tzeentch can remain motionless for decades in the midst of a sea of swirling, multicolored haze, obsessed with the observation of the bottomless depths of the Well of Eternity, examining each reflection of its sparkling surface in search of clues about the Events to come. Most of his attention is devoted to the world of mortals, for of all the gods of Chaos, Tzeentch is most fascinated by this other kingdom.

In the eyes of the Architect of Change, mortals have an immeasurable talent for deceit and duplicity, even if they spend most of their lives without noticing the contradictions that jostle in their minds. The potential of mortals attracts the Great Conspirator, and he can not help but interfere in their world, sometimes as part of the Divine Game, but most often to satisfy his irrepressible need to manipulate and influence things. It is possible that Tzeentch is totally demented, and that he aborts his own companies in universes and plans that he alone can perceive. This is perhaps the most terrifying truth of all, for it would mean that the world is only an expression of his madness.

When Tzeentch comes out of his reverie, betrayal, mutation, dementia and conflicts fall on the world.
