Well Universal Studious has officially dubbed the monster universe the Dark Universe starting with the Mummy in a few weeks.

Does this actually have a end game/purpose in it like the DC, Marvel, and Kong/Godzilla shared universes?

I wonder if there would be crossovers like in the MCU. Could Russell Crowe's Dr. Jekyll appear in multiple movies? If they were to do something like that where they reference the other movies, I think THEN I would enjoy this.

Now that I think about it the Conjuring /Annabelle share universe don't seems to have a purpose and that's doing fine.

Johnny Depp as the invisible man? That's a pretty big name to throw at a character we presumably won't see a whole lot of, lol.

I wasnt kidding about a Monster Squad movie.
Set up all the monsters and have them join forces, to be opposed by the various good guys/organizations they'll have faced in previoys films.
