this is Vandal Savage as Cain. He also has the Spear of Destiny.

Cain /w/ the SoD can certainly control/kill Odin, given the chance... Though that chance would only come if Odin came in his general vicinity.

That said, no force under the Presence can *kill* Cain, but Odin could very easily BFR him to get the win here, me thinks:

Those pages you posted reminded me of the "mask" vandal/cain was made to wear by God (and then by crispus spectre). whatever happened to it? did the cain origin and mask ever crossover into the new-52 or were those things writers just chose never to mention again?

Unfortunately, Cain's mark wasn't forgotten by the writers(though I'd rather it had been.) In later issues, Cain went on to rid himself of the mark by passing it to The Question(Renee):

As for the thread, it's like I said earlier: IF Odin gets close enough, the SoD WILL own him like it has done to Spectre on a few occasions. However, Odin has a lot more options at his disposal.

...Although Odin has also been written as a massively arrogant douche over the last few years, so I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Cain were able to goad him into getting in close proximity. /shrug
