I have to say I am somewhat amazed at how DC managed to get away with having a big, Hulk-like character, GRAY-skinned, dressed in a GREEN suit, making great leaps when he wants to get somewhere fast, rampaging through a community with a hero or team of heroes following him, seemingly getting stronger as battle progresses ...

Am I missing something?

DD didn't amp off anger.

Many characters can jump great distances. Hulk could only leap up to 3 miles on average. DD was leaping 50miles (more than 10x greater).

Hulk doesn't have adaptive abilities outside an outlier. In general, Hulk would never adapt in a forum fight. DD adaptive abilities occurred AFTER HE DIED.
