I feel Ursa Major has this, man.

I love 'were' creature threads, but I got to admit I know next to nothing about Grizzly. I know Ursa Major has at least superhuman : strength, speed, senses, durability across the board. He's also a trained Russian soldier so he has H2H training. He also has more appearances so he has more showings to draw on good and bad.

I'm going with him but googling around, it seems that Grizzly may actually have the edge in terms of physical stats. Can anyone confirm/deny?

His best showings are against Spidey, so take that what you will:

Thanks DS and Stilt. After looking through that, I still stand by my Ursa Major endorsement though. He's gone up against Hulk, She-Hulk, and other characters in their league and survived the beating.

Yeah, no offense to Spidey, but Ursa's faced the stronger opponents.
That has to be factored in.

Grizzly has the stats on paper powerwise, but Ursa has the feats.

Has Grizzly ever fought anyone outside Spidey?

Yes, Stilt posted a link to a respect thread for Grizzly. He fought Stature and USAgent briefly.

Have to go with Ursa, simply because Grizzly's bear suit, (with big teddybear ears and everything), is quite possibly the dorkiest thing I have ever seen in a comic book.

Ran into this problem a couple days ago with Mandarin.

I see what you mean. Yes, Grizzly can be seen as a joke character, while Ursus is rather serious fighter.

Nah, meant Grizzly, he had an encounter with DP.

Mandy hasn't really fought the Hulk, his automatic defenses did most of the work, iirc. Prep/tech showing, nothing that could be used in a random encounter thread.

DP will fight anyone for a buck, i swear.

As to Mandarin, if what you say is accurate, it speaks to my point (little as it was), that he was penalized for not fighting outside the IM books, like Grizz hasnt migrated to speak of outside the Spidey ones.

Yes, but he rarely gets himself equipped with an exoskeleton to do so (and his partner).

That was an early version of Mandy, he relied a lot on his inventions back then. Similar to Doom. Big bad with a big brain and high-tech HQ type.
