Nobody claimed it happened, it did happen! The other Probe's wasn't used until after Superman did the impossible, he turned an Imperiex-Probe back. The other Probe's started to be used when the war began on Earth.

To answer your question, if they are in the same mindset as during OWAW, then yes they defeat the Daxamites.

Superman in OWAW was a bit of a freak. DC decided to ignore logic and gave him more power. A LOT more
