So by pure happenstance I was reading the New Edition of Final Crisis(released in TPB format a few years back.) When I got to the end of the story...When the heroes fight/kill Mandrakk II...I noticed that it had been significantly revised/extended.

The new version is a lot more fleshed-out... I definitely prefer it to the original.

So it was entire GL corps who killed Mandrakk after he was weakened by Nix.

Certainly looked that way.

Mandrakk II also created "Black Matter Demons" there, which are evidently capable of devouring the story itself... As though he wasn't 'meta' enough already, lol.

Goddamn, good find, had no idea the ending was revised

I love Superman just standing there as Ultraman is rabid mode, lol.

As I mentioned in the OP, it adds some depth to the final battle... Which is fantastic.
