You all know what I'm talking about- sometimes covers can be slightly misleading, and other times they can outright LIE to us...

*Gladiator actually stomped Vulcan in the issue.

https://s17.postimg.org/t0y6o9sdr/image.jpg
*None of them died in the issue.

https://s17.postimg.org/wzzzku6en/image.jpg
*They never fought in the issue.

https://s17.postimg.org/6sysovo4v/image.jpg
*Captain Marvel didn't appear in the issue.

https://s12.postimg.org/hx970sdkd/image.jpg
*Mr. Oz didn't appear in the issue.

https://s12.postimg.org/jdkpixgh9/image.jpg
*Beyonder didn't appear in the issue.

https://s24.postimg.org/81zcr38id/image.jpg
*Only one person knelt to Negan in the issue, and he got b*tchslapped for it.

**What are some other covers you can think of..?

I don't think it can get any worse of a lie than this.

AQUAMAN #29 was originally solicited as "Aquaman vs Atlas" with the above cover art.

But when the issue came out, it was this...

So Hercules replaced Atlas w/out notice or reason.

It reminds me of when DC originally released this solicit:

However, Mike Johnson made this statement soon after the solicit was released:

...And this is the official cover & character name we were given:

Avengers (vol. 4) #19 showed The Vision from Young Avengers as part of the new team that was being assembled in the wake of Fear Itself. When the actual issue came out, the cover had been changed to show the original Vision

(scans won't show for me)
------
Similar note behold original Ronin.... Bendis made him into a new character in X-Men. This was actually released

Lol wait they really went thru with it?

Galan007
Lol, nah. A few pages later we found out those were just random dudes in a gay club posing as Judges -- apparently it was 'roleplay night'. sick

But that exact teaser was leaked MONTHS before the issue came out(with no further context given.) So for all that time we were led to believe that Dredd transformed into a full fledged rainbow-warrior.

...Worst cliffhanger in the history of 2000AD. g007-psyduck

It's hilarious how everyone at the time bit the bait and thought Kirkman was actually going to introduce Daryl. thumb up

Galan007
Lol, I totally forgot about that cover. Daryl fanboys from the show were practically shooting loads all over their computer screens at first... Then Dwight. g007_teehee

Kirkman is the king of trolls. thumb up

There was a cover of Superman getting his ass kicked by a group of his villains including Doomsday and Mogul IIRC anyone know which one I'm talking about? It's several years ago now.
