emma's only chance of course is to out-skill max. she is out-powered and physically max would crush her quickly. i'd need to see scans showing max's skill. phoenix badly over-matched emma, but emma still beat her. i doubt highly max is as skilled as emma but even if emma is better, max could def hold out long enough to crush her.
