Dark-Kenshin
If Superman punched the allegedly indestructable ring in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power as hard he could, what would happen? Vote!

Dark-Kenshin
*looks at votes*

So Superman > multiple gods of destruction?

NewGuy01
Who said "small crack?"

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
The ring is obviously inconsistent. That said, I'm gonna say Supes could punch off a big chunk.

cdtm
Pre Crisis Superman obviously one shots the ring.

Post crisis cracks it in two with one punch.

Damborgson
It's a pretty crappy ring. Superman would tear it to pieces of he wanted to be honest.

Why is the ring crappy?

What size chunk would you define what Caulifla did in the last episode?

Because it's supposed to be unbreakable Material, or at least ridiculously durable. Thats how it should be treated in my opinion.

Adamantium suppose to be unbreakable as well but it has been damaged on multiples of occasions. When it happens though, we don't consider it a low showing for adamantium, we consider it a high showing for the character. Think about it...if Thor tore through a building size of pure adamantium with ease, how would you react?

NewGuy01
Unlike Katchin, Adamantium has feats that make breaking it impressive. If Aramantium's only showing was being uprooted in tons by a scream, no one would find it impressive.

It was literally said in the show that the ring is more harder than the hardest metal in U7. We've seen the fts of that metal.

Look at the scene again.

cdtm
Scene: It cut a rock.

Then it broke.

Soo indestructible.

Yeah but adamantium is tough. It's taken a lot of punishment. There isn't even a base for the ring, no one's really "failed" to break it you know?

Yamcha
I was hoping Katchin would get more durability feats in the manga since Merged Zamasu used numerous cubes as a weapon..but Vegetto just flew past them instead of attacking them and giving us some more ideas on the durability.

I'm definitely bummed at the ring's durability, that's one thing I was expecting to be totally different. At this point it's basically made up of paper mache.

Gohan failed to break it.

Dramatic Gecko
It takes about 53 quadrillion megatons of force to blow the planet up. Most characters in the ring can do this fairly easily. Freeza could do this back when he was a small fry. The ring allows fighters and god well above this degree of explosive power to fight to the fullest without immediately shattering everything. The fact it holds up as well as it does is phenomenal. Even diamond, the hardest natural occurring substance known to man (boron nitrite is harder but is man made), can be smashed or chipped with a good hammer.

This stage is resisting the force of an entire stars being shattered and exploding. Something no substance we know of can handle. The odds of Superman breaking it are high, as most contestants on the Tournament could do the same if they were so inclined. Because this Katchin would need to be billions of times stronger than diamond to withstand the power being thrown around by the fighters and by Superman. And that's unlikely.

Or its a cartoon and there is no reasonable explanation (but that's boring and I ain't about that life). I still think Superman could break it though. Especially since he has heat vision and heat can make it easier to break down molecules.

So my only question is... which Superman? Because most of the weak Supermen can't dream of breaking it. But the few high end ones would probably damage it. To what degree I can't tell you. I wish I knew the exact strength of the fictional material.

Sj_Sharp
Suppaman gets ringed out before even landing a punch on the ring.

Dark-Kenshin
Bumping in light of latest ring showings.

SSJGGogeta
Dramatic Gecko was right. The ring is able to withstand a battle royale between a dozen GoD's, who are each far above universal in terms of power. Sure it got messed up pretty bad, but you can literally count on one hand how many incantations of Superman there are, capable of throwing around that kind of power.

Even someone like Superboy Prime wouldn't be able to just destroy the ring outright. Sure, he could do it over time, but most versions of Superman would probably break their hands on it.
