People who say "There is no such thing as the deep state." Here is a perfect example of what the deep state is. Unelected career beurocrats who have more power then elected representatives in the government using their powers to thwart democracy.

Don't feel too bad, intelligence officials totally say it wasn't politically motivated.

That pretty much settles that, if it was politically motivated these anonymous intelligence officials would have told us.

Just like Obama increasing how many agencies would have access to classified information right before he left office wasn't politically motivated either.
