How can Vitiate annihilate Palps but be given a good fight? Annihilation isn't a good fight.

Annhilating is simply destroying, you can destroy someone after a good fight

Well, yeah you can destroy someone in a good fight as in killing them then destroying their corpse, but when people say someone annihilates the other guy in combat, it means that the guy wrecks the other one or kills him very quickly.
