I knew that it wouldn't happen but when I first heard it was going to be a woman I thought it'd be cool if they gave it to Storm. Already has a decent fanbase, established history as a skilled h2h/melee warrior, experience with manipulating the weather, and she's already been pitched as a Marvel equivelent of Wonder Woman. The whole thing would have made actually made sense so it wouldn't have seemed as much like shoehorning.

Not even close. Mon is the greatest Legionnaire which is Objectively the best team in comics.
