Surfer is in Green Lantern shoes and have to catch Lightray who is carrying High Father from the beams. Surfer has to catch him and then carry him safely away from the beams. Can he achieve this ft and if so, would it be better than the Lantern or worse?

He can't. Lightray was at the end of the universe and Surfer has admitted and shown that he has never gone that far.

I feel Surfer could do it.

Surfer can. And so can a GL prior to this showing.

He has never traveled to the edge of the universe and it has been stated that he couldn't do it in years by himself.

Surfer was a little over one lightyear away from IG Thanos when the latter was about to punch Cap.

He crossed that one light year in a fraction of a second. (We see thanos throw the punch and cap's facial expressions having time to alter while the punch is travelling towards his face.)

A great speed feat for Surfer where he really pushed himself.

Its also massively too slow to keep up with Lightray.

Like, a slug compares better to Ali than Surfer's speed feat compares to lightray's recent one.

Was he really going at top speed though?

Considering Thanos reacted, who to my knowledge has no other ftl speed feats, and also given the fact to pluck a gauntlet off his hand, he may have needed to adjust his speed a bit (Like a runner at the Olympics won't be going balls out as they grab the baton.)
