The PUNCHING MACHINE Gauntlet...

Galan007
If you're unfamiliar, the Punching Machine was used in DBZ to determine a being's striking force/power, before they were allowed to compete in the 25th MA Tournament...

https://i.imgur.com/CO9H4JC.gif

...Same concept applies here: whoever hits the Machine hardest and generates the highest score, wins.

**Lets assume Mxy has upgraded the Punching Machine to cope with the forces it will be facing here... It is now completely indestructible/immovable, and is affixed to a completely indestructible/immovable planet devoid of any life. We'll also assume the Machine has infinite computing capacity, and can numerically score ANY punch**

**For the purposes of this thread, lets say an all-out punch from Gladiator was used to calibrate the Machine, and he scored a 500. That should give you a decent 'control' figure to help gauge the rest**

-Contestants-
1.) Saitama
2.) Thanos
3.) Superboy Prime
4.) WBH
5.) H/P Doomsday
6.) Superman
7.) Death Sentry
8.) Thragg
9.) Trion Juggernaut
10.) Superman 1M

-Stips-
-Each contestant can only strike the Machine ONCE.
-They start 0.5km from the Machine -- so ONLY the speed they can build up within that distance can be packed behind their punch.
-The contestants are bloodlusted and going ALL-OUT. They will strike the Machine as hard as they possibly can.
-And to reiterate: they will use PHYSICAL. PUNCHES. ONLY.

...So once you guys get the inevitable "over 9,000!!!" puns out of your system, who does the best here, and what do you reckon the respective scores would be? mmm

Superman 1M

So you think Superman is 2000 x stronger than gladiator?

Is this a cheesy math joke or subpar reading comprehension? Either way, i lold.

On topic, rough fight to pick. My gut says SBP, but there are so many punching machines (excuse the pun) in this fight to really compare top feats with much certainty.

Magnon
Saitama.

DarkSaint85
Juggy or SBP.

What feats does Saitama have that compares to punching through dimensions? Slagging planets and everything is fine, but dimensional barriers...that's insane.

Flyattractor
Saitma would be to bored to punch it.

DarkSaint85
Not if he's told it would help jump his rankings up.

Prof. T.C McAbe
Supes 1M if under the supersun else SBP.

My bad, I thought we were supposed to give each one the number we thought that they would punch at. And that he gave regular Superman 1m

I just asked a question. Damn.

leonidas
what's a saitama? sounds like some faggedy dzb thing so he's def out. gonna be someone capable of instant light speed or faster so that eliminates everyone BUT the supermen (maybe dd but he doesn't have that type of feat). comes down to who you think is stronger supes 1M, sbp or current superman. i'd say prime most likely.

shoulda had flash galan--wonder how the IMP would rank here if it were fully unleashed...?

Prof. T.C McAbe

Blame Galan for taking the strongest Supermans.

Dont take him serious. Anyways...I have seen Saitama one shot people that would take at least a couple of hits for people here to repeat. Also, Saitama is FTL as well except his reaction and movement speed is that fast which is in a completely different class all together. The guy lifted his arm up while the weight of a black hole was on his body down. Lifting his arm up isn't the impressive part, it's how casually he did it. He was scratching head as if the weight wasn't even there.

Thought about Flash, but in most cases he needs to accelerate for a significant distance to build up the speed/momentum/mass of a *true* IMP(Wally circled the EARTH when he did so in JLA, for example)... It wouldn't be fair if he were the only contestant with an increased acceleration distance.

...Plus, I REALLY didn't want this to turn into a pseudo-sciencey 'speed=mass' contest. ermm

Trion Juggernaut never -actually- punched through a dimension though did he? Pretty sure he was only shown doing so in the cover of uncanny x-men 369.

and didn't Superboy basically use the Guardians power to teleport into different dimensions- again not really punching through them?

confused

Even without Flash, topic could steer that way.

TethAdamTheRock
Trion Juggernaut 5,000
WBH 4,000
Superman 1 Mil 3,000
Superboy Prime 2,000

In that exact order

Juggernaut was shredding through dimensions when he first obtained the Trion-amp in 'X-Men' v2 #88:

...And that was BEFORE he had even evolved into the full-blown Trion creature we saw an issue later in 'UXM' #369(which was presumably more powerful):

GA Prime ALSO physically busted through dimensions/universes. We saw this very explicitly, when he snagged Mxy from the 5th dimension:
https://i.imgur.com/JMd0U2X.jpg

...And the 5th dimension sits OUTSIDE the multiverse, btw, which makes Prime's feat a LOT more impressive:

Kal Kent didn't punch through 'dimensions', per se, but he DID punch through the timestream itself(tenS of thousandS of years into the future, to be exact):
http://i.imgur.com/jLZZO91m.jpg http://i.imgur.com/eqFn5Pmm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IDPF0Mgm.jpg

*And considering S1M was also extremely weakened/depleted at the time(relative to his 'normal' levels, that is), I'm sure most will agree a feat like that is no less than equal to punching through dimensions. smile

DarkSaint85
You also left out SBP punching through the Phantom Zone.

Hulk punched so hard he reversed time across the planet. I don't know where that sit with the fts mentioned here but it is insane.

@Galan007- I can't quote links yet, but thanks for the detailed info. I hadn't seen that scan of Juggy and completely forgot about the whole Prime capturing Mxyz thing. big grin

@carver9- You seem to know a lot about OPM, and I am legit curious, what are some of his best feats. From what I've read about him online, it seems like he might be a contender here.

Thanks! big grin

All of these are holding back punches from Saitama. Not even using a percentage of his power. This vid is a 1 through 8 best punches of Saitama.

1. He showed up while vaccine was contaminating the city with death killing fumes. He taps him and not only kill the guy (making him explode), that tap blew all of the contaminating vaccine out of the city from the shockwaves of his punch.
2. That giant that you see punching him, the guy was so tall that skyscrapers was the size of his toe. He was pure muscle. Saitama kills him with a holding back punch.
3. That insect girl. He appears right beside her, slaps her and splits the sky while at the same time, killing every mosquito in the city.
4The Tiger guy, not that impressive. He was one of the most powerful guys in the organization and got one punch killed as well.
5. That purple guy you see is ranked Demon level which means he is a planetary threat. The last time he went on a rage, nothing could stop him. Also, that room that be is crumbling up is made out of some of the most durable metal on the planet (Saitama is letting the guy pound on him)... Saitama one punch him without trying.
6. Him and Genos is practice fighting and the shockwaves from his hand splits the sky and it destroys all of the mountain around him. Remember, this is shockwaves from his punches that isn't even conmecting to his opponent.
7. He is fighting Sea King (my favorite character). Sea King is basically an amped Aquaman (faster, stronger, more durable imo) and this is at his base. When he is covered in water, he gets an amp and becomes even stronger, more durable, etc... Saitama taps him across the chest blowing a hole in him and not only that, the shockwaves from the punch clears the sky across the city, stopping the rain (a tap).
8. He is fighting a guy name Boros. A being that goes across the Cosmo challenging people and destroying their planet afterwards. He is a legit Herald being that would give our best Heralds a fight while beating some imo. He kicks Saitama from Earth with him crashing to the moon. Saitama returns. When he returns Boros realize his attacks are not doing anything and decides to use a blast to kill Saitama and blow up the planet. He flies, throw off this planet destroying blast. Saitama punch this blast and the shockwaves from his punch kills Boros (yes, kill him) and split the sky across the planet.

He also have a ft of using his holding back punch to destroy a planet destroying meteor and he punched a being to dust that had the weight of a black hole on top of him.

100 push-ups + 100 sit-ups + 10km of running every single day for 3 years = baldness = Godhood. laughing out loud

Galan, if you had to put him in a tier, where would you place him? Anime included.

To be frank, the most impressive thing about One Punch Man is the fluidity in the composition of the panels. When put together in a .gif animation it literally looks animated.
