I agree great idea Riv.

Magneto would have been owned by Owen Reese even back in the earlier days before MM became all Dr. Manhattan-like. He was clearly more powerful than Magneto in the first Secret Wars. I have no doubt that Firestorm could easily replicate many if not all of MM's feats.

Firestorm in Marvel would likely be a beast.

This typically boils down to inter company interpretation. being able to control the molecules of most or all physical substances in the known multiverse is huge in Marvel, but not so much in DC.

Then again, Firestorm has messed with Zeta Beam energy and the Omega Beams, so I still rate his chances highly here.

Thanks, Stoic, i really appreciate that, and the input.

Your inter company observation has always fascinated me.
A couple of more examples that always stood out to me are pertain to characters like Quasar and Iron Man.
At Marvel, the pretty solid GL analogue has never been rated highly, and armored characters at DC arent really seen as A list, not even Steel, who's come closest.

One shotting Black Adam?? How did that happen?

Sounds like Firestorms become more powerful then Captain Atom, who used to guest star in his comics just to prove how much more awesome he is.

There's one thing bugging me about Magneto. Could he possibly bend a portion of Firestorm's energy signature? he has manipulated certain wavelengths in the past right?

Not trying to sound mean, but he's pretty much done EVERYthing in the past, whether or not it made sense with his powerset, so yeah, probably has.

It depends how fast you think Magneto would sense and manipulate it - especially since he already has experience doing so against a reality warper .

@phil--i agree with you. i wouldn't be surprised to see mags take him out and the proteus feat is exactly the one i was thinking of as support. that energy was pretty exotic. i don't think there is anything that would need to be studied as deeply when it comes to fs. i think it would come down to who is simply the better energy manipulator here. fs may be more powerful overall, but i don't see him out-skilling mags. this is far from being one-sided imo.

Magneto also has the shields to take his time and study it, if needed be.

They're so good, they even block telepathy, lol. I rarely read shields being that thorough.

I dunno, Phil's scenario seems too prep/storyline dependent.

I think i agree, idjit, as the best scenario for Magneto just had too many ifs for me.
