Force, sabers, and all-out: who wins and why?

(starting distance is 20m)

godemperortrump
Maul could solo some rounds.

JKBart
Nope, he couldn't. But the team wins Force and all out definitely. I can see an argument being made for Mace in sabers though.

First you demonstrate how much Maul is below Mace and try to stretch that as you can, then you have easy job showing that Savage is even lower, then you go into the obvious conclusion that Savage is madly outclassed by Mace. Then you just go into the details of how the 2v1 fights don't always have the team being just the sum of their abilities and that Savage is too outclassed for that to happen.

DarthAnt66
Mace in all.

First you demonstrate how much Maul is below Mace.
Which he isn't.

Then you go into the obvious conclusion that Savage is madly outclassed by Mace.
Which he isn't. Mace had to use all his skills to defeat pre-prime Ventress and Savage is above her later TCW version.

Then you just go into the details of how the 2v1 fights don't always have the team being just the sum of their abilities.
I actually agree with you here.

Mace can compete with Sidious, this duo cannot.

Kurk

Canon:

But they can compete with Mace, so logic fail.

Mace cannot compete with Sidious; he gets beaten by this team with a good fight preceding it

Lucas said he can.

A lot of people can 'compete' with Sidious though. Maul did at the end of his duel on Mandalore.

DarthAnt66
Mace can do more than "compete" - he's outright beat Sidious in a fight.

I think he meant compete in the sense that he can legitimately win.

Maul at his peak could put up a fight, but never actually had a shot at winning.

godemperortrump
A young starving Maul who'd been in the wild for a week almost killed him. Sidious is pathetic

LordOfTheLight
"Competing" with your opponent means actually being a close match for them( or something on that level), in all aspects. What Maul did wasn't "competing". He just about held his own, barely after being hugely enraged, before an annoyed Sidious ended the fight immediately. And considering how an enraged Maul completely lost his fighting spirit upon being battered by Sidious's telekinesis, and was reduced to begging, it's quite obvious that Sidious is far ahead of him in the force. None of these weaknesses or limitations are shared by Mace who is factually a match for Sidious.

He should win them all.

godemperortrump
^ After kicking Sidious in the chest, sending him flying. Maul was doing fine in Sabers, the force gap was just too large
