He's usually brainwashed. The Dreamwave run, in his right mind, he was matching SE blow for blow and even had the upper hand.

Not only that, but the hard master, the soft master, and stormshadow himself have all said that snake eyes is superior. We also know what their most recent fight looks like.

a couple old characters no one will remember are whisper and spider. spider wasn't a full on ninja but was really skilled and used guns and swords.
