Luke doesn't exactly have a lot of offensive Force powers. I could see Vitiate overwhelming him with TP or some funky sorcerous ability Luke's never even heard of.

You could say the same for Vitiate.

Vitiate's firmly beyond requiring the abuse of a nexus considering he is one and was creating them as a secondary effect of his expressions of power.

Vitiate need nexus. Vitiate have no feat outside nexus.

Look beyond hype and you will understand. Spamming quotes does not do you any favor or make your argument credible.
