All movie versions, team 1 has a decent amount of Prep

no amount of prep will prevent Dr. Manhattan from obliterating them

So you don't think under any circumstances, given enough time Reed and Doom with the knowlegde Ozymandias has concerning Dr Manhattan could find a way to either negate his power or disperse him in a way that wouldn't enable him to return for a significant amount of time?

If Ozy couldn't do anything to permanently put him down why would Reed or Doom? The movie versions aren't even majorly impressive when it comes to intelligence.
