These new characters just don't seem like they have a clue on how to fight.

Agree.

Maul atleast got a decent training. He also got decent feats.

These new Characters got little to none.

Maul takes it.

If Maul could hold his own against Kenobi and Qui Gon, why should Kylo and Rey do any better?

They're more powerful than either, for a start.

They're more powerful than either, for a start. Not better duelists though, and since they don't really use force powers in their fights that's all that really matters.

The team should win lorewise but Maul certainly appears to be a far more impressive combatant.
