This fight was just suggested at in the latest The Thing/Human Torch Marvel 2 in 1 Issue.

Fight takes place in the woods next to a lake.

Wolverine cuts his molecules in half.

Very Possible...that and in the comic it was stated that Hydro-Man was going into the fight on an empty Tummy.

Wolverine can't hurt him, and Hydro Man has one of the few power sets that can actually kill him. Spite.

Unless his drinking capacity is about 20x what I'm estimating, Wolverine gets drowned into submission, unconsciousness, or worse.
