Rules:

- Both characters are in their prime and all feats up until their deaths are available for use

- Star Wars: Expanded Universe, exclusive of the 2008 The Clone Wars TV show, is the only permissible source for material used in this debate. The expanded universe is defined as "material produced by Lucasfilm or officially licensed by it."

- Each debater will have 3 full weeks to respond to the other's post.

- The tentative format for this debate is as follows:

Opener (Kurk)
Opener + Rebuttal 1 (Jack)
Rebuttal 1 (Kurk)
Rebuttal 2 (Jack)
Rebuttal 2 (Kurk)
Rebuttal 3 (Jack)
Closing (Kurk)
Closing (Jack)

Closing arguments may not introduce new material or arguments


Judges:

A total of 6 judges will be chosen from 10 based on the poll attached to this thread. The 10 candidates have been pre-selected by the debaters.

The poll results will be finalized on Saturday March 31st at 11:00 PM EST, at which point the 6 judges will be contacted to confirm their availability.

Judges who abandon the debate will simply be eliminated without replacement.

Issues which arise mid-debate (e.g validity of a source) will be resolved by the selected judges via simple majority.

The winner of the debate will be determined by simple majority. In the event of a tie, the results will be considered inconclusive.


The Fight:

- Location is Times Square NYC, exclusive of people. Stationary cars and buses are present.

- Starting distance is 20 meters

The person with the most votes will be assigned to the role of supreme judge. Their duties would include contacting the other judges and creating a standardized criteria rubric for final submission at the end of the debate.

Once I post my opener, the supreme judge will serve as the arbiter for any matters that arise between Jack and myself. They hold no more power than the other judges, but are responsible for the organizational aspect, if that makes any sense.

This being said, MythLord and XSUPREMEXSKILLZ both accrued 10 votes each, so the role of supreme judge will be shared between them unless one relinquishes the role in this thread.

As stated in the original post, a judge abandoning the debate does not warrant a replacement.

If you acknowledge being selected as a judge please make it known.

Azronger's argument is that Masters sought apprentices more powerful in the Force than them. That is asinine because the Banite Sith sought capable apprentices who had talent for cunning and dexterity.
